"Brandon is our starter, but Kodi [Burns] will see some playing time," Tuberville said.
"We’ll continue to work with him to give us another option in terms of how we attack a defense."
Last week against New Mexico State, the youngster Burns was the starting quarterback, but was quickly pulled in favor of opening day starter and veteran Brandon Cox.
Burns is more of a threat to run with the ball. He was just 1-5 passing against New Mexico State before being yanked. Cox went on to say that in practice Burns is running a different offense:
"What he’s doing is running the ball," Cox said. "That’s not the offense that I run."
