SEC officials suck...

The first half of the Florida - Ole Miss game has shown some of the worst officiating I have ever seen. Not giving Florida a second on the play clock just before halftime is inexcusable.

Postgame comments from Harvin, Tebow and Meyer...

Tebow named National Offensive Player of the Week

The Walter Camp Foundation bestows yet another honor on young Tebow.

V's Power Poll

1. Florida
2. LSU (after Florida and LSU there is a huge drop off in team strength)
3. South Carolina (6 turnovers against South Carolina State?)
4. Alabama (Damn near blew a 21-0 lead, survived with some help from the officials)
5. Arkansas (Can play with most teams in the SEC and beat all but UF or LSU at this point)
6. Kentucky (Nice win against an overrated Big East team with a new coach, lets see how they handle D-Mac)
7. Georgia (Ranked this high by default)
8. Auburn (Can't be as bad as their 1-2 record says)
9. Tennessee (Has lost two tough road games to two very good teams)
10. Vanderbilt (6-6 is a possibility)
11. Miss. State (Defense looks good, still no offense)
12. Ole Miss (Worst team in the SEC, no doubt about it)

Gators stomp Vols, 59-20

Tim Tebow had his coming out party in the SEC accounting for three total scores as the Gators sent the rival Volunteers routing back to Tennessee. Percy Harvin had nearly 200 total yards and a score while Brandon James also returned an early punt for over 80 yards and a touchdown. Tebow ended up nearly doubling the Volunteers total rushing output.

The young Gators defense frustrated the Vols all day, allowing just one touchdown and two field goals. The Volunteers other score came on a Tebow interception returned 90 yards. The most import aspect of the defense yesterday was that they did not give up any big plays. Being young you would expect them to bereak downi n coverage once or twice, at least. But on Saturday they were solid and made Tennessee scrap for everything they got on offense.

Dan Mullen called a creative game on offense. This Florida team is going to be incredibly dangerous this season.

It was Phil Fulmers worst lost as the Volunteers head coach and the Volunteers worst loss since Herchel Walker and the Bulldogs beat the hell out of them in the early 80's.
